  Olwen Cox is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 10 years' experience gained in operating companies. She has specialised expertise in the handling and liquefaction of chlorine, and has operational experience of membrane and diaphragm cells used for the manufacture of chlorine and caustic soda, and Downs' cells used for the manufacture of sodium. She also has operational experience in the manufacture of silicones.

In addition to her operational experience, Olwen has specialist expertise in safety management, including acting as Hazop chairman and performing safety studies and risk assessments. Her skills in this field include the provision of safety training to operators and organisations.
