Cox & Speller
is an independent chemical engineering consultancy
offering expert advice in the fields of safety, the
environment and process development. We have a unique
expertise in sustainable processes, such as solar salt production,
biodiesel and biomass fuels, and materials recycling.
The Practice was established by Dr John Cox in 1968, originally to provide consultancy services for the computer-aided design of chemical and petroleum plants. It now provides a broader chemical engineering consultancy service to the UK process industries and has particular experience of, and interest in, projects for developing countries. We have carried out work on behalf of a number of overseas companies, governments and international agencies, including the World Bank, UNIDO and EBRD, in Vietnam, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, Oman, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nigeria, Ghana, Mauritania, St.Kitts-Nevis, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, USA, and for many clients and at many locations in the UK. The Partners are: The Practice became a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers in 1979, and suppports its professional code, but discontinued membership after it became the Association for Consultancy and Engineering. The Practice combines the provision of engineering services with an awareness and concern for social and economic issues, thus providing an all-round techno-economic consultancy service. |
